Trapattoni names unchanged side for Russia clash

Giovanni Trapattoni has opted to stick with the same side that defeated Andorra last month for Friday evening’s Euro 2012 qualifier clash with Russia at the Aviva Stadium.

Giovanni Trapattoni has opted to stick with the same side that defeated Andorra last month for Friday evening’s Euro 2012 qualifier clash with Russia at the Aviva Stadium.

Richard Dunne has overcome a knee injury and will take his place at the heart of the defence alongside Sean St Ledger, meaning that Trapattoni was able to name the same side for the third game in succession.

Ireland’s clash with Russia kicks off in the Aviva Stadium on Friday at 7.45pm. JOE will be tracking the game live from 7pm in the football section.
