Production line Nintendo 3DS spotted in China

It’s certainly a lot fancier than its debut at E3 2010

We’ve said it before (or not) and we’ll say it again – god bless Chinese factory workers! One plucky production line worker managed to hotfoot his way home and post the first glimpses of the new, recently redesigned Nintendo 3DS, which is still set for a Spring worldwide release.

We’re not quite sure how long until YouTube begins removing the dastardly factory worker’s video of the console, but click away while the clip is live below:

Angry Birds launching on consoles this week

First stop iPhone, next stop PS3 and PSP

The top-selling iPhone app of 2010 is finally heading to consoles – yes, Angry Birds is launching a full-on assault on PS3 and PSP this week, with a Wii and Xbox 360 launch to follow later this year.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Angry Birds is a hugely addictive physics-based castle destruction game, Angry Birds charges you with killing villainous pigs by bringing their castles crashing down around their ears. The runaway hit has already been downloaded over 50 million times.

One final Mass Effect 2 DLC episode promised for 2011

Lair of the Shadowbroker was a sterling piece of DLC in 2010

Days after being crowned JOE’s 2010 Game of the Year the folks at Bioware have announced that they have one final episode of downloadable content planned for Mass Effect 2 in 2011. The news slipped out when the company were detailing the last days of the daily news updates of the Cerberus Network, set to expire on January 24.

“A week of posts will precede a downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the release of Mass Effect 3,” reads the latest update on the network. Whether the content will be a full-on story expansion (the sublime Lair of the Shadowbroker) or visor/suit updates is yet to be announced however.

Purchase/Download of the Week

Dead Rising 2: Case West (Xbox 360 800 MS Pts)

Zombies beware – two games worth of heroes are on your shuffling tail

If you bought Dead Rising 2 on PS3, it’s official: you messed up. Released as an Xbox 360 exclusive, the Case Zero DLC preceded the titles release and was one of the most enjoyable 400 MS points JOE has ever spent, now for cheekily double the price, gamers can get their hands on Case West, which teams Dead Rising 1‘s protagonist Frank West (he’s covered wars, you know) with our recent hero Chuck Greene in a new story that covers events following those of Dead Rising 2 and lets players team up for co-op zombie battling.
