In this week’s Maul, the lads discuss excellent Heineken Cup wins for Leinster and Ulster, what will become of Munster after Sunday’s defeat to Toulon and Johnny’s likeness to a character from Robocop.
In part two, Munster’s defeat to Toulon is discussed and in a broader context, what does the future hold for the province who will be absent from the Heineken Cup quarter-finals for the first time in 13 years.
After neglecting to mention Connacht last week, Eric Elwood’s men get a mention after a fantastic victory over Bayonne on Saturday night, which leads quickly on to a discussion about how intimidating it can be to play in the south of France and how best to defend yourself on the pitch.
The lads also talk about a recent Guardian survey which detailed how attendances at rugby matches are dwindling, and how rugby has changed for the better in recent years.
