Jamie Heaslip has been named in the Ireland side to face France in the Six Nations clash at the Aviva Stadium this Sunday.
The Leinster forward has struggled with an ankle injury since the turn of the year and missed out on Ireland’s trip to Italy last Saturday as a result.
Heaslip replaces Denis Leamy in the only change to the fifteen that started against Italy and will start in his customary number eight berth, with Sean O’Brien switching to blindside flanker as a result.
Despite proving his fitness, Andrew Trimble misses out on a place in the 22, while with Leamy dropping to the bench, Shane Jennings also misses out.
Ireland’s clash with France kicks off at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday at 3pm.
