2pts win, Unaccompanied, 1.10, Lepoardstown — Dermot Weld’s is the best of the bunch of juvenile hurdlers in the country and with a mare’s allowance she should be on song in the first. Watch out for Gordon Elliott’s Toner D’Oudaires, wh o is capable of running a big race.
2pts win, Joncol, 3.15, Lepoardstown — I have to go with Joncol based on the ground for the Hennessy Gold Cup. Last year’s winner will need to find a bit to retain it on Saturday but I’m confident he’ll get the better of Kempes.
1pt win, Zaidpour, 2.45, Lepoardstown — A tentative selection as it’s so hard to call between this fella and dden Universe. Again the ground has to be taken into consideration and with that I’m siding with the Mullins runner.
3pts e/w, Final Approach, 3.35, Lepoardstown — The Willie Mullins runner to have an each-way punt on this weekend has to be Final Approach at Newbury on Saturday. Must be in the first four and warrants each-way value at anything over 6/1.
