The Rebels, The Cats and The Dubs were all victorious is the Allianz Hurling League.

A fantastic first half performance gave Cork a six point lead over Galway at the break at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Pat Horgan grabbed the goal for the Rebels, when he won and put away a penalty in the 15 th minute.

Aonghus Callanan responded for Galway to reduce the gap to three, only for Cork to pull away from their opponents.

The Tribesmen were much better in the second half and could have gone ahead with 20 minutes remaining when Ger Farragher hit the bar. Cork finished strongly, however, and recorded a victory by a margin of three points.

Goals from TJ Reid and ‘Cha’ Fitzpatrick helped Kilkenny to a five point win over Waterford, while Dublin continued their magnificent run by comfortably overcoming 14-man Offaly. Shane Dooley suffered a serious injury during the match.
