Eoin Reddan is Ireland’s only injury doubt ahead of the clash with England at the Aviva Stadium next Saturday.
Reddan had to be withdrawn after less than a minute of the 19-13 defeat to Wales at the Millennium Stadium at the weekend after taking a blow to the face from the ball as he charged down Lee Byrne’s clearance kick.
Reddan suffered concussion as a result of the blow and had to be replaced by Peter Stringer. The Leinster scrum half will be monitored by the Irish medical team his week and will also see a neurologist as part of the injury management process.
Reddan is still contention for a place in the starting line-up, which will be named by Declan Kidney on Wednesday afternoon.
Although a Triple Crown is now out of reach, the prospect of denying England their first Grand Slam since 2003 should be motivate a hurting Ireland side ahead of Saturday’s encounter.
