There were wins for the Dubs, the Premier County, the Kingdom, the Tribesmen and the Ernesiders in this weekend’s National League action.

An injury time point from Paul Ryan earned Dublin a draw against Kilkenny to keep their chances of a NHL final alive. It could have been even better for Anthony Daly’s men had they been less profligate – they ran up a tally of some 16 wides.

Dublin were more successful in the football, as they defeated last year’s All-Ireland finalists Down thanks to a late goal from the talismanic Alan Brogan. The win earns Pat Gilroy’s men a place in their first National League final since 1999.

JK Brackens’ Shane Bourke fired in 3-04, as Tipperary annihilated Galway by 18 points. The Tribesmen remain in second place in Division 1, however, where the top five are separated by a mere two points.

In football, Kerry comfortably overcame Monaghan in Inniskeen to move into second place in Division 1, though the Oriel County did manage to outscore the Kingdom by ten points to five in the second half.

Fermanagh, meanwhile, put their tumultuous week behind them to record an eight-point victory over Clare in Division 4.
