Some guys have all the luck, apparently, as Ryanair have to cough up after three different passengers on the same flight won top prizes on in-flight scratchcards.

The Ryanair media train trundles along today after we already learned of an unrelated story about the airline’s banned bikini model advert. Advertiser watchdogs said is wasn’t hot enough, would you believe.

The second strike of the double blow for Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary stems from a flight from Milan to Madrid on which three passengers bought €2 scratchcards and won a car each worth €13,000.

Usually one car per month is won through the in-flight scratchcards but, amazingly, three passengers scooped the top prize on Monday.

Ryanair bosses have been left reeling with the wins and have blamed Brandforce, the company which runs the scratchcards, citing a printing error for the unusual number of winning cards.

An inquiry has been launched into the wins but the airline has promised that all three winners will receive their prizes.
