Ireland second row Donncha O’Callaghan believes that getting the small things right will be crucial in the clash with France this weekend.

Declan Kidney’s side produced an error-strewn performance against their Gallic neighbours in Bordeaux in the first half on Saturday night, but recovered to deliver a vastly improved second half display that nearly brought about what would have only been a second victory for Ireland on French soil in over 30 years.

Ireland have the chance to get their own back against Marc Lievremont’s men in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday and O’Callaghan believes that an Ireland side with the benefit of game-time under their belts can triumph if they can just get the basics right.

Check out what big Donncha had to say ahead of Saturday’s encounter in the video above.
