A draw in an international friendly with Croatia has equated in a rise to 31st place in the Fifa World Rankings for Giovanni Trapattoni’s Ireland.

The top-ranked side in the world is now Holland due to Spain’s recent friendly loss to Italy.

Only seven teams in the entire world have been on the top spot and this is a first-ever for the Dutch.

Meanwhile, England have been bumped up to 4th from 6th in the rankings.

Northern Ireland are up to 59th and Scotland lie in 55th. Wales have dropped down to a lowly 117th.

As expected from their Copa America success, Uruguay have shot up the rankings to oovetake brazil for 5th place.
