It’s that time of the week again – our countdown of the best five goals we’ve seen from around the world over the last few days.

5. Glen Johnson (Liverpool v Chelsea)

Glen Johson has been much maligned in the past, mainly because he is not exactly the world’s best defender and he once stole a toilet seat. But the boy knows the goal is and with Liverpool and Chelsea winding its way to a draw, Johnson took matters into his own hands to win it. Left John Terry on his arse too, which is nice.

4. Lex Immers (Den Haag v Utrecht)

We all know the feeling . The ball drops to you on the edge of the box and you dream about lashing it back past the keeper with interest. Instead you sky it out of the Astroturf pitch. Lex Immers is better than you.

3. Juan Arango (Borussia Monchengladbach v Werder Bremen)

This battle of third and fourth in the Bundesliga ended up being a one-sided affair but the pick of the goals from the 5-0 win for ‘Gladbach came from the boot of Juan Arango. Pick that one out, as they don’t say in Monchengladbach.

2. Pablo Osvaldo (Roma v Lecce)

Okay, so this ‘goal’ gets disallowed so technically it shouldn’t be on this list but we have two counter arguments to that. Firstly, Osvaldo wasn’t offside so it should have counted and secondly, it was an amazing overhead volley.

1. Paul Gallagher (x2) (Leicester City v Crystal Palace)

To top this week’s list we have a bonus double from Leicester City’s Paul Gallagher. The Scot scored a cracker this weekend to put his side 2-0 up and then three minutes later rifled home an even better one.
