We wouldn’t recommend you try this but one California man used some MMA skills to take down a would-be carjacker.
Abel Simmons had just been out to watch UFC 160 and as his wife drove him and his family home, a man tried to steal their car.
Simmons is a massive UFC fan and he has obviously picked up some skills over the years as he got out of the car and tackled the man with a series of MMA moves. Eventually he got the crook into a guillotine choke and held him there until the police arrived.
“I had him in a guillotine choke. And he wasn’t getting out of that. I had that lock really tight,” said Simmons. “I just held him in place and said, ‘Well, guess you are going to jail tonight buddy.'”
