In this hot weather, there really is nothing more important than smelling good, especially when you’re stressed, so the lads at Nivea sent us their latest offering to keep our underarms fresh

It’s hot, it’s sticky, and we don’t want to take our tops off to walk down the street because that’s not our style, so how do we stay smelling fresh?

Nivea for Men have the answer with their Stress Protect roll on and spray anti-perspirant series, which we really needed this week as the site relaunched.

A few of the JOEs had been receiving comments from the lovely ladies at Her.ie regarding, well to put it plainly, our fragrance, after the impromptu indoor 5-a-sides broke out in the office. Obviously, they had no complaints about the skill level on display though. We could have gone pro, but we weren’t bothered with all the celebrity.

The most (how should we put this politely) diaphoretic JOE was given a run at doing the review, and we have to say it was a great success.

The roll on is nice and small, and slots into a gym bag pretty easily, and did keep us from sweating too much, bar during the aforementioned 5-a-sides. Still, afterwards, we threw on a bit of spray and were back to being fresh as a daisy.

Unlike most big name deodorant and anti-perspirants, it didn’t have that heavy musk smell that reminds us of changing rooms in secondary school. The fragrance is much lighter, and has a hint of citrus, which is great for the summer.

It’s not overpowering either, so you won’t be clearing a five foot radius around you as people try to escape your fragrance-vortex.

As you will already have noticed, we’ve got a whole new JOE going on here, and to say that we were slightly stressed out with all the bugs we had to work through on the new site this week would be an understatement. We did actually stay pretty dry in the key areas though, and one thing we noticed in particular was that when you use the spray you don’t get that sting that you do from others, a pretty pleasant experience it must be said.

Overall, we can’t argue with the smell or feel of the roll-on and spray, and if it can keep us from stinking up the place during this week, which has been a very, very long one, then it can keep you fresh in any situation.
