A Dubliner has reached the final of a European search to have themselves modelled as a character in Sony’s Uncharted video game series.
Dubliner James Crerar travelled yesterday to take place in the Uncharted Audition final taking place in Los Angeles. The prize? The chance for a new character in the series to be modelled on your features.
In addition, each of the finalists from around the world will get to meet the voice cast from the game, including the unmistakable voice of the series’ hero Nathan Drake, none other than Nolan North.
The auditions themselves plan to pit the finalists against one another in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception multiplayer, while also impressing judges with their character creations, not just their gunplay. In addition to the aforementioned Nolan North, judges for the event today include creative director Amy Hennig and game director Justin Richmond.
“The amount of creativity and enthusiasm we saw from our contestants during The Uncharted Audition was great,” said developers Naughty Dog.
“Sony challenged fans to prove that they were as good as Nathan Drake and our finalists achieved this by demonstrating the highest level of quality and imagination possible. This is how we work at Naughty Dog and it’s what make.believe is all about. We’re excited to see what kind of wildly creative Uncharted 3 multiplayer character our grand-prize winner will help us design.”
All we can say to you if you’re readin this James is that we at the JOE team wish you the best of luck. Make us proud!
