Tinie Tempah is a stylish man. So stylish, in fact, that he was crowned GQ’s Best Dressed Man of 2012. What is he doing with this new title? Designing his own brand of clothes, naturally.
The Telegraph reports that the rapper has been working hard on his new men’s clothing range named Disturbing London. According to reports, Tinie looks set to get a good reception when he unleashes his new brand to the public.
Disturbing London has a distinctly street-wear feel. Just picture Tinie Tempah and you’ll get an idea of what the range encompasses. Think graphic-printed t-shirts, aviator jackets and Tinie’s trademark pair of chinos.
“I love clothes and this brand expresses my style of street-cool culture mixed with high-end fashion,” said Tinie, who is fronting the advertising campaigns for the brand.
For the man who once rapped that he has so many clothes he has to keep them in his Aunt’s house, Disturbing London encourages men to splurge on the collection because all the pieces that will be put out are priced very cheaply, ranging from €35 – €300. Not too bad.
Disturbing London is set to debut in Selfridges’ stores in the UK and online tomorrow.
Apparently the inspiration from the name came from Tinie’s own record label, which is also called Disturbing London. The current advertisement campaign for the collection also features the latest talent that Tinie has signed to the label: Sasha Keable, Dot Jr and G FrSH.
“Music and fashion have always gone hand-in-hand and it’s something we know our customers…feel passionately about – so Disturbing London with Tinie Tempah is something we’re incredibly excited to be launching,” said Reece Crisp, the contemporary buyer for Selfridges’.
“The product is really commercially promising – we’re seeing a huge appetite for street-wear at the moment, and the price point is great,” he added.
