Designed with the modern man in mind, the DS Podium GMT was made for the man on the go. It has an open, sporty and functional display and if you travel a lot, it has the advantage of a second time-zone and a 12 hour chronograph all in one. The watch itself has an open, black dial with a really clear and functional layout. Basically, it’s pretty easy to see what time it is – despite the other functions that the watch has, you won’t get bogged down with pressing buttons and switching time-zones and all that other annoying stuff.
The hands, second-hand and numbers are all treated with a special Superluminova coating which means that you’ll be able to see what time it is under all lighting conditions.
It’s water resistant up to a pressure of 100 metres (or 10 bar) thanks to the DS concept which Certina uses on all its watches – which is handy if you should ever find yourself skinny dipping after a few drinks, or forgetting to take it off before you get in the shower.
