James Horan has resisted the need to tinker with the Mayo team for the National League Final this Sunday, making only one change from the side that beat Kerry last time out.
Young Footballer of the Year Cillian O’Connor comes in at full-forward in place of Jason Doherty, taking his place in a potent looking forward line that contains former All-Stars Alan Dillon, Conor Mortimer and newly-appointed captain Andy Moran.
James Horan’s men are only back from a training camp in sunny Portugal and should be nice and refreshed for the meeting with Cork on Sunday, where they will be looking to avenge a fairly comprehensive beating they shipped at the hands of the same opposition at the same venue two years ago.
Mayo take on Cork in Croke Park on Sunday at 4pm.
Mayo team to play Cork: David Clarke; Kevin Keane, Ger Cafferkey, Keith Higgins; Lee Keegan, Donal Vaughan, Colm Boyle; Barry Moran, Jason Gibbons; Kevin McLoughlin, Andy Moran (Captain), Alan Dillon; Conor Mortimer, Cillian O’Connor, Michael Conroy.
Replacements: Robert Hennelly, Michael Walsh, Shane McHale, Peadar Gardiner, Richie Feeney, Danny Geraghty, Seamus O’Shea, Patrick Harte, Alan Freeman, Enda Varley, Jason Doherty.
