Thankfully, Danzig was okay shortly after being put to sleep by Melvin Guillard.
UFC on Fox 8 wasn’t much of bill to write home about to be honest but the KO of the night, performed by Melvin Guillard on Mac Danzig, is worth a watch.
Danzig, a UFC veteran at this point in his career, was matched up with another very seasoned Octagon performer in Melvin Guillard. Guillard was the more aggressive in Round 1 and in the second he brutally ended the contest with a barrage of punches.
We certainly think that referee Steve Newport should have stepped in before the final smashes to the head of Danzig were thrown by Guillard but luckily for all concerned Danzig’s screams and apparent crying were nothing more than an understandable reaction.
It makes watching the KO a lot easier.
