Did you hear about Paddy Power’s nemesis, the Punter Prophet?

This one’s straight from Back to the Future Part II. Somebody in England has clearly found Biff’s Almanac, and started helping themselves to Paddy Power’s booty.

This one’s straight from Back to the Future Part II. Somebody in England has clearly found Biff’s Almanac, and started helping themselves to Paddy Power’s booty.

The man, who Paddy Power are identifying only as a Hampshire-based Dial-A-Bet customer, cleared a cool €1m following a stunning Lucky 63 wager at Royal Ascot on Gold Cup Day yesterday.

His six selections included five winners – Reckless Abandon, Princess Highway, Colour Vision, Faster or Free and Energizer, all of whom ranged in prices from 4/1 to 17/2.

Ironically, the shortest-priced selection of the six, 7/2 chance Gabrial The Great, was his only losing pick, and one which saved Paddy Power a several-million euro pay-out.

But the icing on the cake is that this €1.05m win isn’t the first time this particular punter has cleaned out Paddy’s satchels.

Oh no, because just two months ago he was toasting a €160,000 success when he connected with a big-price each-way double with Bubba Watson for the Masters and Neptune Collonges in the Aintree Grand National.

That’s serious picking. If he doesn’t lose that almanac this modern day Biff will be running a casino and have housing developments named for him very soon.

Reflecting on his seven-figure loss Paddy Power said, “This man must be a prophet not a punter because to pick 5 winners in one day at Royal Ascot, the US Masters winner and the Grand National is nothing short of remarkable.

“Unfortunately for our English punters he hasn’t backed Roy’s boys to win the Euros!”
