The Kerry footballer Paul Galvin is planning on creating his very own range of sportswear, but would you bothered on wearing his ‘Galvinised’ threads?

It’s seems as though every celebrity these days – be they A list or GAA list – is sticking their name to some sort of product and this time around it’s the Kerry football star Paul Galvin.

The 32-year-old former teacher has already applied for a trademark on the word ‘Galvinise’ and he intends on using it for his new line of sportswear.

His application lists gloves, sports jerseys, sweat absorbent underclothing, body training equipment, elbow guards, men’s athletic supporters, padding and rehabilitations apparatus as potential goods. There are no design photos to show you as of yet, but when they’re out we’ll be sure to bring them to you.

This isn’t Galvin’s first fashion fix as he’s actually a regular to the industry. He currently writes a weekly style column in the Irish Independent ‘Weekend’ magazine and he has even admitted to owning 70 pairs of shoes and spending hundreds on exclusive clothing brands in the past. Well for him.

If, for whatever reason, you’re opposed to the registration of Galvin’s trademarks (we’re talking to you Oliver Callan) then you have three months to get in touch with the Irish Patents Office.

You can check out more about the Galvin’s application here.
