The star of Glorious Goodwood today was Frankel as the superhorse went for his 12th straight win. Guess what happened?
Of all Frankel’s 12 wins to date, this one, his second Qipco Sussex Stakes, may have been his easiest, With only three opponents, one of whom was his trusty pacemaker Bullet Train, Henry Cecil’s charge was sent off at the ridiculous odds of 1/20.
The price was easily justified as Tom Queally romped home yet again on the favourite, with Frankie Dettori’s mount, Farhh, never really testing the great horse.
After race Queally told Associated Press: “Every moment spent on his back is a special moment and today was no different. He’s amazing, he had all the other horses cooked just after halfway and it was a nice prep for his next race.
“He’s a class apart from anything else at the moment, he does it all very easily therefore I have a very easy job, all I have to do is steer.
“These are magic moments and it’s great to be part of it.”
