The on-pitch action across the water should keep us entertained but the off-field stuff can get pretty crazy too. Here’s a few bets from Paddy Power that look some potential front-page football news.
It was all hands on deck this week in Paddy Power with the return of the betting bonanza that is the Premier League. One of our favourite stories of the summer was when it was revealed that Manchester United’s new marketing tool, sorry, midfielder Shinji Kagawa’s girlfriend is a pornstar. We’re offering odds of 8/1 on Ameri Ichinose helping out her man with some bread-winning duties of her own by filming a porno in the UK during the season and 11/4 on her appearing on the cover of Nuts magazine. In completely unrelated news we’ve also shortened the odds on John Terry moving to Man Utd.
Despite Max Clifford keeping the majority of footballers misdemeanours under wraps that hasn’t stopped us betting on which club will accumulate the most arrests over the course of the season. Other wacky markets that you can throw a wedge on include Usain Bolt to play for Man Utd at 80/1, Any Premier League mascots to brawl at 10/1 and how many celebs Jermain Defoe cops off with during the season.
