This is exactly how Brad Pickett earned the nickname ‘One Punch’. As for the ‘Gangnam Style’ celebration, it wasn’t too bad either.
The UFC event in Notingham last night was being closely watched by Irish MMA fans as John Kavanagh’s protégé, Gunnar Nelson was in action. The soon to be superstar Icelandic fighter did the job in style, stopping DaMarques Johnson with a first-round rear-naked choke.
But that wasn’t the stoppage of the night as that honour went to Brad Pickett. After a few minutes of feeling out Yves Jabouin, Pickett lived up to his nickname ‘One Punch’ with a fight-ending uppercut right on the Canadian’s chin.
He followed up with the celebration of the moment, going ‘Gangnam Style’ around the ring. Let’s just say we have seen worse attempts at the Korean craze.
