The concept of paying good money to smear charcoal on ones face may seem a little far-fetched. And it is until you try L’Oreal’s new Hydra Energetic Charcoal Wash.
At JOE we have a nice blend of metrosexuals and those that scoff at the very idea of moisturising and selected beauty products. Men’s men and all that.
We decided to try a number of different products to see them in action and some were pleasantly surprised with the results. None more so than the “Magnetic Effect” purifying wash.
The purifying charcoal acts like a magnet on the skin, helping to get rid of impurities, so blackheads, stickiness and dullness are consigned to history. The black gel turns into a rich white foam for a new sensation of cleansing.
It’s funny how we only understood the concept of dullness on the skin after the effects from using the product for a few days. It is a good way to start the day, though we would urge users to fully wash their faces before leaving the house. One or two in the office looked like they had spent time in the jungle after their casual efforts to rinse after applying.
Even the biggest sceptics found the gel to be ‘exactly what it says on the tin/tube’ and left the skin in an improved state.
