Last week Frankel and a heap of goals at White Hart Lane made us a few quid. Let’s keep the good form up this week.
With two weeks in a row of getting two out of three were are due to hit the treble soon. Here’s how we propose to do it this week and be quick, as Ulster play tonight (Friday, October 26). If all three come off, the treble nets you almost 17/1.
Ulster (-8) to beat the Dragons, 10/11
The only unbeaten team in Europe (that’s Ulster by the way) are a team no gambler should overlook right now. They head to play the Dragons in Wales tonight and the home side are struggling. Only Zebre are keeping them off the foot of the table and we can’t see any way Ulster, with T-Bowe at full-back, don’t win this one. The eight-point handicap shouldn’t be a problem to cover either.
Four or more goals in Chelsea v Man United, 7/4
We hit on this bet last week as Spurs and Chelsea shared six goals and we can see a similarly big score being racked up here. We couldn’t tell you who will come out on top but with 40 league goals scored by these two teams in just 16 games (Chelsea have 19, United have 21), they are the two most potent sides in the Premier League.
Defensively they are both prone to lapses too, which helps, and in February this game finished 3-3. We like this bet a lot.
The St Louis Rams to beat New England Patriots, 12/5
This is the Wembley game so both teams will suffer from the travel and the, in all likelihood, horrendous weather. Based on the history and records this season, the Patriots have to be favoured. And they are, heavily.
But the Rams are far from awful, and probably above average. Their big losses this year have been to Chicago and Green Bay, arguably two of the top five teams in the league. The Pats, as we have written about before, are not quite right and we could see the Rams pull off a shock in front of their owner, and Arsenal shareholder, Stan Kroenke, especially if the Pats suffer yet another fourth-quarter slump.
