Pic: Surely even Liverpool fans wouldn’t buy this awful Anfield Stadium shirt

We’ve seen some horrendous pieces of football fashion over the years, but this Anfield Stadium shirt really takes the biscuit.

We’ve seen some horrendous pieces of football fashion over the years, but this Anfield Stadium shirt really takes the biscuit.

In the next few weeks, girlfriends of fervent Liverpool fans may well prowl the Liverpool website for something to pick up for their boyfriends for Christmas and if any of them are reading, we would implore them to ignore the monstrosity that is the ‘Anfield shirt’.

Costing a barely credible £40 (approximately €50), the Anfield shirt does exactly what is says on the tin and the buttons and collar are about the only things not taken up with a print of the hallowed stadium looking onto the kop end.

It is the type of shirt that one could only imagine would be purchased by the very large gentleman that like to wear garish Hawaiian shirts, but unfortunately for them, it isn’t available in size XXL at present.

‘You’ll never walk alone’ is a song intrinsically linked with Liverpool, but any of their fans caught wearing this will be pretty short of company, until they have a run-in with the fashion police of course.

If you want to completely ignore our advice and purchase this sartorial shambles, however, you can do so here.

Hat tip to Dirty Tackle for bringing this one to our attention.
