If you’re in any way squeamish or are about to eat your lunch, then look away now.
Rugby players know that bumps, bruises and occasionally more serious injuries come with the territory before going into battle and unless you’re very lucky, you’re not going to go through your career without suffering a knock that leaves a lasting impression for days, weeks and even months afterwards.
Fresh from Brian O’Driscoll’s nasty-looking lip injury suffered at Irish training yesterday comes an even nastier looking facial injury picked up by Scottish sevens rugby captain Colin Gregor, who is lucky that he still has a nose after a training ground incident yesterday.
From the looks of things, Gregor felt the force of a few studs on his nose, his lip, his cheek and possibly even his eye socket and like we said, if you’re at all squeamish then you might be best advised not scrolling down to look at the pictures below.

And thanks to Dr. Pete in max fax at the Southern. Did a better job than all the kings horses and all the kings men pic.twitter.com/SlQqQESSVx

In fairness to the doctor in charge of looking after Colin he did a pretty good job but although we’re no experts or anything, getting patched up after an injury like that can’t have been pleasant.
Hat-tip to the lads at follow-rugby.com for the heads up on this one
