This is the sort of story that those of who fill out a weekly coupon at the bookies just love to hear.

The humble football coupon is the most magical piece of paper in the world to some of us. With just a few small flicks of the pen, or more likely mouse these days, untold wealth is yours if you can pick the results of a few matches.

Okay, to win big to have to either choose a huge number of games, which nearly always goes wrong, or go for exact scores, which is one of the trickiest bets in football. But still, for the small-stake punter, the coupon is the golden ticket that you hope, one day, will land for you.

That day arrived on Wednesday night for a guy called Dan Field. Dan selected four games and put a Yankee bet down with William Hill. A Yankee, if you are lucky enough not to know, is an 11-way bet, with four doubles, six trebles and one accumulator. It can pay out in multiple ways then, all for your small stake but if you land all four correctly, you are in for a massive windfall.

Dan chose to pick exact scores in four Champions League games and incredibly, they were all proved to be correct.

Imagine if he put Celtic’s win over Barca in. Anyway, as a result of his remarkable foresight Dan scooped £189,597.50 for his very small stake.

All we need now is Dan’s number to see who he fancies this weekend between Chelsea and Liverpool.
