The only thing worse than c*cking up a high five is having it broadcast live to the nation on national TV…

At the Austin F1 Grand Prix in Texas yesterday, these American fans were obviously happy to see Lewis Hamilton passing Sebastian Vettel with only a few laps remaining, so they went for a high-five and, well, made a b*lls of it.

Instead of connecting firmly with his buddy’s hand, the guy on the right misses and slaps the bald guy slap bang on the head – inadvertently redefining the term ‘slap head’ in the process.

It’s certainly one incredibly awkward moment that we’re sure neither of these two would want to see again anytime soon.

In fairness to both of them, they get on with it as if nothing happened.
