Like sci-fi, video games, cosplay or anime? Then you can’t miss the MCM Comic Con in Dublin this April.
Any comic book fan, video game aficionado or chic geek worth their salt will know all about MCM Comic Con, but what you might not know is that the world famous convention is coming to Irish shores in April, bringing with it some unmissable experiences for anyone who has even a passing interest in the travails of Superman and his ilk.
For those collectors out there, the Comic Villages will be a must-see, giving you an opportunity to meet artists and creators of some of your favourite titles, with plenty of talent from the industry in attendance. There will also be merchandise on sale, offering items from around the world so you can scoop yourself that cherished piece of Doctor Who memorabilia that you’ve been after, or finally get yourself a LEGO Millennium Falcon, after asking for it for Christmas for the last twenty years (like JOE has) with some great discounts too.
Apart from that, there’s a huge main stage that will play host to the very special guests headlining the event, and you’re sure to be able to catch some exclusive screenings and clips along the way too. Don’t miss out on the extremely popular Main Stage Wrestling event and of course, who can forget about the hugely impressive cosplay outfits that are sure to be on show. Here at JOE we’re particularly excited about the Cosplay Masquerade as elves will mingle with Jedi Masters and we’ll finally have a valid excuse to dress up in our lycra Wolverine outfit. Fans will also be able to sign up for the League of Legends from MCM eSports, the computer game tournament sponsored by gaming giants Razer and presented by Backdrop Gaming; the weekend will see the semi-finalists battle between themselves for the shot at being the Ireland Open Tournament Champions.
