The Irish hooker missed the recent Autumn Series with after suffering a neck injury against the Dragons a month ago but has pencilled in the Heineken Cup Round 3 clash at Franklins Gardens as a return date.
Best has said that his rehabilitation has come along well and progressing just as he had hoped.
“The injury is coming on well,” he stated. “It’s just like any ligament, it just needs a bit of time and rest.”
He will hope to see Ulster’s unbeaten start to the season continue and positive back-to-back results against Northampton should see the Ravenhill side progress to the quarter-final stages.
