Limerick FC are on the hunt for a new manager and a former England boss is in the frame. No, it’s not Sven.
After the departure of Pat Scully, Limerick FC need a new boss and a few very interesting names are in the hunt to be sitting in the Thomond Park dugout next season, according to the Indo today.
While a Damien Richardson/Kenny Cunningham ticket is still the most likely option, a few names from across the water are also in the running.
One of them is former England boss Peter Taylor. The former Leicester City supremo was most recently in charge of Bahrain but he was given the boot there last month and the man who first gave David Beckham the England armband back in 2000 may now be Munster bound.
Another big name is Les Ferdinand, so we hope Thomond Park has a helicopter landing area. In case any Football Manager experts out there are thinking of applying, the deadline has passed and Limerick are expected to make an announcement next week.
