As expected, Leinster’s injured trio of Rob Kearney, Luke Fitzgerald and Brian O’Driscoll are all back in the team to play Edinburgh this weekend.

Last week Leinster boss Joe Schmidt sounded pretty confident that he would be able to utilise three hugely missed talents this weekend and sure enough, he was proved correct.

Today the reigning European champs named their team to play to play Edinburgh in the Rabo tomorrow night and three shining stars return.

Long-term injury absentee Luke Fitzgerald makes his first start of the season on the wing while Rob Kearney returns at full-back after his back injury woes.

Most importantly of all, Brian O’Driscoll returns to the centre, a massive boost the team as they prepare to fight for their Heineken Cup lives.

Next week sees Round 5 of the Heineken Cup kick off and Schmidt will be hoping all three of his big names survive this week’s game, giving him a much stronger side for the must-win home game with Scarlets next week.

Leo Cullen captains the all-Irish qualified side that will run out at Murrayfield and with their Rabo campaign also struggling a little, a good start to 2013 is imperative.

Needless to say, Declan Kidney will be hoping the trio make it through unscathed, though Fitzgerald will surely have to play like a demon to make it back into the squad for the Six Nations. Something to keep an eye on anyway.

Kick-off at Murrayfield is at 7.35 and the game is live on TG4.
