Hansel and Gretel Get Baked is the modern (marijuana) version of the classic Brothers Grimm bedtime fairytale

Who would have thought that good old Hansel and Gretel would grow up to do drugs? Hollywood likes to make duplicates of fairytales these days, what with Snow White and The Huntsman and Mirror Mirror essentially both using the Snow White tale. Now, as well as Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, starring Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker), it seems the powers that be want to do a funny version with Hansel and Gretel Get Baked.
The storyline sees a teenage Hansel and Gretel as stoner siblings living in suburbia. A witch lures teenagers to her house in Pasadena with her magical pot and when they get there, she fattens them up and eats them. Hmm.
The witch, Agnes, is played by Lara Flynn Boyle, who you might remember from Men in Black II. She uses her powers to drain the life from the bodies in order to make her younger (this sounds like Hocus Pocus).
Milly C. Quinn (TV’s Castle) plays Gretel while Twilight’s Michael Welch plays Hansel. Duane Journey (Alias and Felicity), meanwhile, is on directing duty.
It is slated for release in the US in February, but the European release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
