The world’s largest airplane has taken off from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
The Antonov An-225 is an absolute behemoth, a cargo plane that went into service in 1988 and was the only one of its kind ever made.
Measuring 275 feet and 7 inches, it’s the longest and heaviest airliner ever built.

The plane has a wingspan of 290 feet, stands over 59 feet tall and is powered by six turbofan engines.
