Cian Healy has been cited for his stamp in the game against England on Sunday and has been punished with a three week ban.
By Adrian Collins
After a spiky but ultimately disappointing match for Ireland at the Aviva on Sunday, Ireland have lost one of their most important players after Cian Healy was banned for three weeks.
The Leinster prop was cited for his stamp on Dan Cole in the first half and will miss both the Scotland and France games as a result of the incident, which you can see below if you’ve been living under a rock for the last few days.
The ban will mean that Healy won’t be available for selection again until the 10th of March, which makes matters worse for the Ireland camp after injuries to Simon Zebo and Jonathan Sexton last weekend.
Bummer.
