UFC President Dana White was in Dublin last week to recieve Trinity College’s Philosophical Society’s Gold Medal of Honorary Patronage. This is the entire video of the event, coupled with the Q&A session.
Dana White received the honour for his contribution to sport and addressed students on his work bringing the Ultimate Fighting Championship to what it is today, while also taking the time to answer questions from students and some press that had gathered there – despite being seriously unwell.
The philosophical society is now in its 328th year and the award has previously been given to the likes of Winston Churchill, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and, er, Bill O’Reilly.
The video is the full session, so is just under 38 minutes long, but well worth watching if you’re a fan of the outspoken and always entertaining UFC President, who does seem to genuinely have a lot of time for fans.
Thanks to Andrew Murphy for sending it in.
