If there was a competition for ‘Rally Save of the Year’ we think this one from Sébastien Chardonnet would definitely make the shortlist.
This incredible close call occurred last week in Lankamaa during the WRC Rally of Finland and it’s a great look at how some quick thinking, mixed with superb car control and a little bit of luck, can save you from complete disaster.

Fair play to Chardonnet for his effort, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he and his co-driver Thibault De La Haye needed new pants afterwards.
