Real Madrid’s victory at Old Trafford tonight will bring Fergie’s team selection into even more focus, and Paddy Power reckon they know where he went wrong.

After a cagey first half, United took control of proceedings thanks to an own goal from Sergio Ramos, but a disastrous 13 second-half minutes saw Nani red-carded and Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo get on the score sheet to preserve Jose Mourinho’s impressive head-to-head record against Fergie.
It was the team selection that caught the eye, with the previously out-of-favour Nani in and Wayne Rooney out, which seemed to shock everyone, including his wife Coleen.
Paddy Power tweeted that the United boss will regret the team set-out at Old Trafford, but not in relation to any of the afore-mentioned players.

Tongue-in-cheek of course, but no doubt the tactics involved will be discussed well into the night and coming days now that United have exited the competition.
Webb has been accused of being pro-United in the past, something that certainly won’t be levelled at tonight’s referee Cuneyt Cakir.
