Pic: Sports fan brings laptop to a game so his friend can watch it through video chat

Will we see laptops at Croke Park on Sunday…

JOE knows how hard it can be to get tickets to big sporting events, tracking a ticket down is one part of it and paying for it is the other. The usual Irish tactic is to all of a suddenl become great friends with the guy we know whose dad is stuck in the county board around championship time. Hey, don’t judge us, we stay in touch with the person after, sort of, we say hello when we see him… *JOE hangs head in shame*

If you’re struggling to get to a game, this Tampa Bay Ray fan could have figured out the predicament with a pretty obvious solution. The guy only went and brought his laptop to the Rays game against Toronto Blues on Wednesday, he turned on the video chat, connected with his friend who was at home and they both watched the game as happy as two Larrys…

We can’t imagine the guy’s friend had an amazing view but it’s certainly something we haven’t seen before so kudos to both men. Although to be clear, we are not fans of iPads at events so if we see you with a laptop, we can’t be friends anyone. Thems the rules.

Hat-tip to Bleacher Report.
