Luckily the Paraguayan golfer is okay after the incident…
There were some worrying scenes at the KLM Open in the Netherlands today as Fabrizio Zanotti was knocked unconscious after being hit on the head with a golf ball that was struck by French player Alexandre Kaleka.
Play had to be suspended as medics rushed to the aid of the Paraguay man who lay on the ground for some time after the hit…

The incident took place on the 16th hole at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club and Kaleka was clearly shook by the incident as he looked at Zanotti with real concern.

An ambulance arrived on course to take Zanotti to hospital and thankfully the European Tour have confirmed that the 31-year-old is okay.
An update on Fabrizio – he is ok but on his way to hospital to be assessed further.
