J. J. Abrams is back with Star Trek: Into Darkness, and the trailer looks like it’s promising an action epic.

This is J. J. Abrams return to the helm of the Star Trek franchise, and with the rumours looking like he’s also doing Star Wars, we can keep our eyes peeled on this one with an eye to the future.
Chris Pine reprises the role of James T. Kirk, who has a personal mission of vengeance on his mind after an inside job leaves the whole organisation in crisis.
English actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who you might remember from Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, takes on the role of the bad guy, and Zachary Quinto returns as Spock, all good news for fans of the first film.
The beautiful Zoe Saldana also comes back as Uhura, and Alice Eve is added to the cast, meaning there’ll be plenty for us to keep our eyes on outside the action.

You can also expect good use of the 3D in the final version too, and with plenty of over the top explosions and crashes you might even come out of the cinema suffering from a bit of motion sickness.
