Prepare to have a good laugh at an absolute comedy of errors… all by the same guy.
We’ve already seen our fair share of goalkeeping errors this season, but we can safely say that none of them hold a candle to the brief episode of madness that Boa Esporte goalkeeper Joao Carlos was responsible for yesterday evening.
Boa Esporte ended up losing their Brazilian second division clash with Avai on a 2-0 scoreline and it was Carlos who delivered the second of those efforts with a comedy own goal for the ages.
In an effort to cut out an Avai cross, Carlos hilariously mistimed his leap and missed the ball completely and while making his way back to the goal-line fell victim to an unfortunate ricochet with the ball ending up going into the net off his head in rather spectacular fashion.
