Yesterday’s 2-2 draw between PSG and Barcelona in the Champions League saw perhaps the pass of the season from Dani Alves, but Tony Gale wasn’t overly impressed.

While the French side began brightly, it was the Catalans who took the lead through Lionel Messi, but the pinpoint pass from marauding full-back Alves was exceptional. Or so we thought.
It seems that Sky pundit Tony Gale wasn’t as taken by the exquisite through-ball as most observers with 20/20 vision, which maybe is down to the fact that as a former West Ham player and fan, he is so used to the Total Football played by Sam Allardyce’s side that all other teams seem inferior.
Whatever about the pundit being underwhelmed by the pass from Alves, we can’t say we were blown over by the Gale either.
