Pictures: Thought Barcelona’s away kit was bad? Their training gear is god-awful

As one of the best teams in the world, you would think that Barcelona deserve to train in some of the nicest gear in the world. That won’t be the case next season at least.

As one of the best teams in the world, you would think that Barcelona deserve to train in some of the nicest gear in the world. That won’t be the case next season at least.

Things have been going pretty well for Barcelona on the pitch of late but they’ve made some pretty bad f**k-ups from a sartorial point of view in recent years. Their current away-kit, which resembles those fruit salad sweets which were very popular a few years back, is just awful and the rumoured replacement for it – with the same colours – isn’t a whole lot better.

Because they are used on the Catalan flag, the orange and yellow colours are obviously important to Barca’ but if you thought that their use of them in their away kits was bad, wait until you see the gear that, according to Spanish paper Sport, they’ll allegedly be training in next season.

According to Sport, the jerseys feature an aerial image of the district of Barcelona known as ’Eixample’ (where the Sagrada Familia temple is located) but although they meant well, it just doesn’t work.

A truly rotten piece of football kit then, but as football fashion goes, it’s not quite as bad as the Anfield Stadium jacket or the Manchester United onesie in our far from educated eyes at least.
