Gif: Gone in 67 seconds. How about that for a UFC debut by Conor McGregor?

On his UFC debut in Stockholm this afternoon Conor McGregor might have been expected to be a little nervous and tentative. Instead, he knocked out his opponent in 67 seconds.

Given what he has achieved in the Cage Warriors series, big things were expected of McGregor ahead of his bow in Sweden this afternoon, but few would have expected him to defeat Marcus Brimage – who came into the fight with a 6-1 record – as quickly and easily as he did.

McGregor copped a couple of blows from Brimage early doors but then destroyed his American opponent with a series of devastating strikes that forced the referee to call a halt to the fight only seven seconds after the first minute had elapsed.

And boy did Conor look happy about it.

We’d like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Conor on a stunning victory and after a phenomenal UFC bow, let’s hope the best is yet to come.
