How could someone be so cruel to raise our hopes like that…
We woke up today and logged on to our Twitter to find loads of people retweeting the news that Breaking Bad is coming back for a new season and that the creator Vince Gilligan had confirmed it. Huge news.
However, you shouldn’t believe everything you read on Twitter so we flexed our journalist muscle (Google search “Breaking Bad new season”) and the truth was revealed.
The story was written on a ‘satirical site’ called The National Report and it’s a complete hoax, here’s what they posted this on their page earlier…
We completely missed the clever satire element to the story and it also fooled hundreds of thousands of Breaking Bad fans because the news went viral. To be fair to everyone, that’s a solid headline and it looks like a legitimate news story so no wonder everyone jumped on it.
But ultimately, Walter and Jessie are not coming back to our screens. Sadface.
