Kiwi Ben Franks is a big unit, and he doesn’t half hit, and run, really hard.
Any All Black front row is probably pretty hard and based on this clip, Ben Franks is not only hard, but fast too.
The 29-year-old was in action for the Hurricanes in the Super 15 at the weekend against the Blues and he was in very fine form. First he hit Blues centre Jackson Willison with a bone shuddering tackle early on and then, showing a turn of foot not normally seen by the lads in the wee numbers, he chased down and caught wing Frank Halai and saved a try.
Sadly for Ben it didn’t matter as his team went down 28-6. Let’s just be grateful that the Melbourne born big man won’t be facing our Lions this summer.
