We often wonder why the All-Blacks are so much better at rugby than the rest of us, but when this is the sort of stuff they’re playing at club level, should we be surprised?

The game featured in the video below is a club game in Auckland between Grammar Carlton and Suburbs and although it actually took place a few weeks ago we only stumbled upon it today thanks to the lads at Rugby Dump and we’re very glad we did.

The score was actually 30-26 when this passage of play took place, so it must have been a cracking game as it was but the two minute passage of play below is one of the best you’ll see at any level anywhere this season.

Grammar went on the attack first and looked all set to grab a try after a brilliant passing move from one end of the field to the other, but a brilliant steal from a Suburbs player allowed them to do likewise while attacking the other end.

A kick down the field gave Suburbs great field position, but Grammar went on the attack again and the big lad with the dreads looked like he was going to run through everyone until he was stopped in his tracks and the ball was booted down the field.

That allowed Suburbs to counter attack and they did so in style through their full back, who slipped through some very big tackles before giving the first of a series of passes which eventually resulted in a try for winger Gareth Williams-Spiers.

We were out of breath just looking at it so we can only imagine how the players felt afterwards.

Brilliant stuff.
